One of the Best Emails We Received

We received hundreds of emails and here was one of our favorites.

Hello Mike,
Let me just preface this by saying that I have been a listener of AM800 since birth. 'Uncle' Cam practically raised me. Years later, I still get all my news, weather, and community happenings from you guys.

Every morning my husband (SugarBear) and I set our alarm to you and Lisa. We couldn't imagine waking up any other way. So needless to say we were outraged with what we heard at 5:30am this morning. Confusion soon turned into dismay and the more we heard you guys advertise your 'new format' we found ourselves down right furious. We even thought your new nick names were ridiculous. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Lisa kept saying how great the 'new format' was going to be and that we should give it a chance. I'm only 32, was I really that set in my ways? Could I not handle change as well as I thought? Had I turned into an adult unable to appreciate music I wouldn't normally listen to? My world as I knew it began spinning out of control. I had my mind made up! There must be some way of stopping this, a way of getting things back to normal! If I was feeling this way there must be others who agree. PETITION!!! We could start a petition.
On my drive into work, in my, at this point unstable mind, I started thinking. I had given AM800 32 of my best years and this is what I get in return. Where was your loyalty? Out of spite I changed the radio station. Yes, it may have been a small act, but in that single moment I was redefining my life. It wasn't until I pulled into the parking lot that it hit me. Could this be some sort of sick joke? Was I hoping beyond hope? Grasping at straws to try to explain away what you guys were doing to me.
I can't believe I fell for it!! You guys got me good! Kudos to everyone at the station for all the hard work and creativity that went into pulling that off. And I cannot express how relieved I am knowing that I'll be waking up to you and Lisa and Steve tomorrow morning :) Keep up the great work...Lisa, I expect
more from you. I can't believe you let them talk you into this ;)
Your loyal listeners,
Sugar Bear and Kris
